Nature in Sensory Dough
This was a super simple activity to set up and was not only a calming activity for my son after a busy day but also a wonderful activity to work on his motor skills.
There is just something so satisfying about squishing different resources into sensory dough.
Set up
This activity was super quick to set up and is perfect as an after school activity.
I used the purple sensory dough from our September Worries activity box and the natural resources we had collected whilst looking for pinecones.
So together my son and I pushed and squished different autumnal natural resources into the sensory dough. In our August In the Garden activity box we had made a Stickman which my son was very keen to recreate in the sensory dough.
When my son discovered that he could create different imprints and patterns in the sensory dough he spend ages investigating what happened when he pressed each of the autumnal natural resources into the dough.
This was such a easy activity to set up and kept my son entertained, engaged and strengthening those all important muscles in his hand.
