Leaf Crown
This is a simple autumnal craft activity inspired by the book 'Leaf' by Sandra Dieckmann. This craft activity celebrates autumn and enables your little one to make a crown just like Leaf wears at the end of the story.
Set Up
Before starting this autumnal craft activity we had been to the park to collect leaves. The key to this activity is to collect freshly fallen leaves. It can be harder to stick drier leaves.
Once home I got the PVA glue, the lolly stick and the strips of card from our October Polar Bear box out.
The first thing we had to do was stick the two pieces of card together. Once that was done it was time to glue and stick leaves.
For me the process of creating the leaf crown is more important that the end product. So I sat, watched and chatted as my son glued and stuck.
My son loves his leaf crown and likes to wear when he gets home from preschool. I love it because it is all his own work.
