Posting Pom Poms

A quick activity to set up. Makes hardly any mess and all the resources can be reused. This activity plays on your baby’s love of posting

Set Up

This activity uses pom poms; which I bought from HobbyCraft and empty water bottles. I cut a window on one side of the bottle so that it was easier to get the pom poms back out. Just be mindful that the edges of the window can be sharp, so I just covered the edges with cellotape.

I put out two bottles so that my mini human and I could do the activity together.

We have done this activity at various ages. When my small human was smaller I held the bottle still for him and used the medium sized pom poms. However as he’s got older he can hold the bottle still and I use the smaller pom poms to make it more challenging.

This appears to be a popular activity even as my toddler gets older. The next stage for us to use tongs to get the poms poms into the bottle.
