Cotton Buds Fireworks
This is a very simple fireworks art idea for toddlers and older kids that needs very little set up or resources. It is also great for fine motor skills development.
Set Up:
I used black and dark blue card so that my two could choose which one they wanted for this fireworks art activity. I used an old mince pie packaging to put the paint in, added the cotton buds and it was ready. If you wanted to, you could add some PVA glue to the paint to make it slightly glossier or glitter but this is not necessary.
I did for this activity model how to create the fireworks art but my toddler had other ideas and instead of dotting the paint wanted to go round and round in circles. This was completely fine and as long as she was enjoying our fireworks art activity I did not mind. M did dot the paint and took great care in creating her picture.
They were both very proud of their finished artwork and they look very effective hanging up in the kitchen. This was a simple fireworks art idea that didn’t require much prep and was also good for developing their fine motor skills. Definitely a fireworks art idea that I would recommend.
