Christmas Lights Christmas Card
After our last finger print Christmas card was such a hit, I decided to try another idea for finger printing a Christmas card. Finger painting is a great activity for even the youngest toddlers to attempt and is a great way for them to experience mark making. This Christmas card craft idea is easy to set up for toddlers and older kids at home and doesn’t create too much mess either.
Set Up
For this Christmas card activity you will need ink pads and blank white cards. That was all the prep I did, so took no time at all and then it was down to them to get creative.
For this finger print Christmas card I explained to my eldest daughter that she would be creating fairy lights and to roughly get them in a line diagonally across the front of the card. With my toddler I let her do as she wanted! I limited the colours of the ink pads that I gave them in an attempt to make it look more festive.
My two loved this activity. My toddler really enjoyed using her fingers to mark make on the front of her Christmas card. Afterwards there wasn’t much mess and these ink pads are easily washed off hands. I then added the cable for the lights to the front of the cards. A great keepsake Christmas card craft idea.
