Snowy Mountains

The illustrations in The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats, our January book, are so brilliant that we were inspired to try and recreate one of them with the left over resources from our January box. This art activity is simple and lots of fun with children.

Set Up:

For this easy art activity I used the reverse of our blue card, white tissue paper and glue from our January Activity box. We had already used one side of the blue card for our Snowy Day art activity.

Ripping the tissue paper is not only fun but also great for motor skills. My two got stuck straight in and started creating their snowy mountains.

This turned out to be a very calm afternoon art activity which was perfect on a rainy day. They quietly worked away with great concentration and I got to enjoy a cup of tea whilst I sat and watch them create!
